6th Annual Covenanter Scottish Festival

The Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Foundation would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in the 6th Annual Covenanter Scottish Festival. We were blessed with a perfect weather day, our best in six years.

The performers were outstanding, the clans and organizations very informative and enthusiastic, the vendors were well equipped and ready for sales, the bagpipers and the Highland dancers and athletes were there to compete and perform for the crowds. Norman Dunkinson and Clan Donnaachaidh of the Mid Atlantic won the best Clan/Organization Award for their great display and information.

A huge thanks go out to our volunteers who were pulled in many directions and did an outstanding job. Our attendance was incredible, our very best in all 6 years. We were very fortunate and thankful to have so many generous sponsors.

It was a fun day and an all-around great way to celebrate the heritage of the Scots, Scots-Irish and Welsh in Southern Lancaster County! Please join us next year on September 12th, 2020 for the 7th annual!!

A Full Day of Festivities!

From Highland Games to Broadsword demonstrations; Piping Competitions to Celtic Folk; Welsh choirs to Irish Dancing; Haggis to Sheep Dogs; the Covenanter Scottish Festival has something for Everyone!
